Forums and calendars offer racers a way to connect

October 30, 2009 - Art Smith
A lot of people visit this site but it appears few are taking advantage of two features designed to let area runners help each other out more.

The runners forums offer runners a way ask questions to the general running community and it offers everyone a chance to spread their knowledge of running and walking to everyone that visits the site.

The calendar, which you will find at the bottom of the home page and category pages give runners a way of knowing what races are coming up.

If you are the director or organizer of a race it also offers you a great way to promote your race.

It’s simple. First, sign up to be a member on the site. It’s easy, and free — just click on the Create Account link at the top of the page. Go ahead do it now. I’ll wait.

OK, now just click on the calendar link at the bottom of the page and then click on the Submit Event link. Fill it out and click submit. You can put as much detail as you want, you can even add a photo, this too is easy, and it is also free.

As soon as your item is approved it will become part of the site. When your event is near it will automatically appear on the home page and else where of the site.

Remember, if you want people at your event, you need to tell them about.
