Welcome to our new site

It's a new running season and we thought it would be a good time to launch a new site for the News and Sentinel Races.

The new site is designed to offer you more information about the News and Sentinel Races as well as allow you more ways to be part of racing in the Mid-Ohio Valley.

For starters, the site now has a running calendar at the bottom of the home page. Area road runs are free to submit their events to the calendar by clicking on the "Submit an Event" link located at the top of this page, or by using the link located on every page of the calendar. If you have a photo or logo that goes with your event, you can submit it as well.

The site also has a runners forum, where runners, and walkers, are encourage to discuss area races as well as issues that are important to your sport.

Registration is now open for the race. You can use the link to Active.com or you can print out one of the registration forums. Starting in June, you will also be able to pick one up at dozens of area locations.

The site will also have additional bloggers. Look for articles all season by runners and other organizers of the races.

This year race is Aug. 22, I, as well as the hundreds of other people who help put the race together, look forward to seeing you on the starting line.
